Bramblewood is a very welcoming comfortable cottage
which, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a dishwasher makes an ideal holiday base for
a family of six (plus toddlers). It's a single-storey detached cottage, having
a large garden, from the rear of which you can glimpse the sea.
The self-catering cottage is particularly suitable for bringing along
extra guests, such as grandparents, or friends, as there are two
bathrooms, so there are no hold-ups getting out in the mornings to enjoy
the wonderful Cornwall countryside and beaches.
Ideal for asthma and allergy sufferers, with hard flooring (rather than
carpets), an air filtration system, and is non-smoking
and does not accept pets.

We
frequently use the cottage ourselves, and have tried to provide
extra touches that ensure you'll have a great
holiday. Bramblewood has a
large front terrace, and the photo below is the view looking down towards the central area of Trevalgas, and
shows the proximity of the parking.
Many of Bude's sandy beaches are kept dog free, clean, safe and patrolled by lifeguards in summer. Choose a different beach each day,
there are at least seven within a five mile drive of the cottage. (Duckpool, Sandymouth, Northcott Mouth, Summerleaze, Crooklets
Crackington Haven, and Widemouth) Enjoy walking, surfing, body
boarding, investigating the rock pools, or building sandcastles.
Afterwards return for a swim in the heated pool, or enjoy a
barbeque and relax in Bramblewood's secluded and tranquil garden.
Here is one quote from our
guest book:
This was a return visit
to the Bude area for our family after an absence of more than ten years. It has lost
none of its earlier appeal! We have always
loved the canal and walking out to the breakwater to watch the waves
and surfers near at hand. A rowing boat on the canal and crazy golf
are an essential part of the experience.
Bramblewood has been an ideal base with all possible creature
comforts. We have appreciated breakfasting on the terrace. The
swimming pool has been a daily destination for those of us who
aren't into cliff-top running. The bright flowerbeds, numerous
butterflies and flocks of house martins circling overhead have been
a delight.
All things considered it is
hard to imagine 'a more congenial spot' for a family holiday.
