The great news about Bude is that it's in closest part of Cornwall,
just over the border from Devon,
but as most holiday makers are making a beeline for the more southern resorts,
the beautiful coastline in North Cornish is far less crowded, and remains unspoilt.

The easiest route takes the M5 to Exeter, then the A30 to just past Okehampton, then the A386 to Holsworthy and Bude.
