We have had a lovely stay! It was our first visit, but
we will certainly be returning. This is a lovely well equipped
cottage and we made really good use of the swimming pool - twice
a day
most days!
The Kids loved Clovelly, Dingle's Fairgound Museum and
exploring the nearby villages. It's been a great week- and the
wifi came in useful too!.

Blackberry was everything we needed (and more) - used
to self catering, we came armed with more than we needed !
We were very impressed with the swimming pool and also made
frequent use of the games room.
We love the area.... managed two picnics at our favourite beach-
Northcott Mouth.
Preston Gate Inn provided us with a cosy evening meal & liked
the fact that children could choose from the same menu as us.
Thank you for such a high standard of accommodation . We hope to
return soon !

We used the pool everyday and it was great. Didn't use
the laundry or games room- but having the option was useful.
We had a lovely week and the facilities for the young children
were very good.
Thanks for a really great holiday.

A lovely family holiday. Our toddler insisted on using
the pool as least once everyday. The cottage is so comfortable
and well equipped.
Highlights have been the Camel trail at Padstow, (we hired a tandem and child trailer) and the lost
gardens of Heligan. We will definitely be back!

Have had a fantastic holiday ! Lots to do in the area
.... the cottage - what can we say? Our every need catered for!
The play park has enabled children to have the freedom to play
as we did as kids, as felt very safe here !

I really enjoyed Bude beach because we made a mermaid
out of seaweed and stones.
We also went and rode a boat.
I had a cream tea at Castle Tea rooms which was very good.

We have really enjoyed our stay. The weather has been
great for Feb and managed to fit in lots of sight seeing:
Summerleaze Beach - for a walk around the headland and lunch at
'Life's a Beach'. Huge baguettes for a 'lite' lunch or hot meals
if you've worked up an appetite.
Padstow- is a lovely harbour town- lots of little tea rooms,
pasty bakeries, and of course Rick Stein's bakery, cafe,
restaurant and shop. We expected it to be expensive, but found
everything to be reasonably priced.
Eden project - Good on a rainy day - it is an amazing place with
lots to see and if you have school age children they will enjoy
the adventure trail -fabulous cafe for lunch or picnic areas if
you bring your own.
We loved staying in the cottage, and look forward to coming back
in the summer..

The only breakage to report, Katherine was when Maxwell
said his heart was breaking to leave Blackberry Cottage !
The pool was brilliant everyday. Lansdown Grocery Service was
excellent - nice quality fresh products waiting for us. Liked
the new floor, and TV and fire.

Our fifth visit and this time two weeks. We did lots of
our favouruite things as well as new things:
Hartland Quay- gorgeous views on a sunny day. Nice pub & Basket
meals
Walk to Duckppol from Northcott ( & back)! Ice cream at Duckppol
well worth it.
Surfing at Duckpool - never been when the tide has been out
before
Walking on the beach from Sandymouth back to Northcott & finding
some great new rock pools.

(The children) loved the play area and played football
in the field.
We had a fantastic holiday and the cottage was one of the
best we've stayed in. A fantastic quiet location, really well
equipped and the pool was lovely!

A Christmas visit - a shared Christmas with family living
in Bude - we did not use the facilities but had this as
a welcome and warm haven from the riotous company of
young adults.
A great place to stay, and I would recommend it to
anyone on or off season.

A lovely well-appointed cottage, a lovely area and some wonderful weather - what more could you ask of a British holiday !
Much boarding boarding by all (6 more in another cottage) with Bude, Sandymouth, Crackington Haven and Harlyn (nr Padstow) firm favourites.
Thank you Katherine - all your extras and attention to detail
are very much appreciated.
Oh, forgot the pool and games room - in a group ranging from
7 to 73 they added to the great week had by all of us. The Coulson

We loved Blackberry Lodge. It had
everything we needed and more. We loved that there were
freezer blocks and plastic containers - we picnicked at the
beach every day.
Our son (aged 2¾) loved the play
area - especially the tractor & we felt he was completely safe. The pool was great after a day at the beach: we had it to
ourselves most days.
Our favourite places:
- Summerleaze Beach - great for kids
- Scrummies - local cafe do great fish and chips
- Lansdown Dairy Cafe - do a mean cream tea & the service is
fab.
We would definitely love to stay again.

Kids loved the play
area, and great to be able to let an 8 & 3 year old play
with new found friends independently, whilst we watched
from the garden.
A fabulous and stress free
family holiday - the cottage was lovely, and I would
love to return in the future. I
would like to thank you so very much for this lovely
accommodation.

Blackberry Lodge has been a
haven – well equipped, clean & very comfortable. We visited many
places while we were here, our tips would be
* Launceston Steam Railway.
We combined this with a visit to New Mills farm park. The train
ticket allows you to travel up & down the line all day, and the farm
park kept our two entertained for hours – well worth a visit.
* Crackington Haven beach was great for our two, with a stream that
they played in for hours.
* Atlantic Village Outlet & leisure adventure park, we had intended
to visit for an hour or so on the way to the Milky Way, but we stayed
all day and the children loved it.

We have had a fab few days staying
at Blackberry Lodge! The Lodge is excellent, with good
facilities and well equipped. The surrounding complex is
clean and well thought out.
A visit to Crackington Haven and the Cabin Cafe is a must!
We hope to visit again.

We have spent spent an enjoyable
week at Blackberry Lodge.
Walking the Coast Path, particularly between Bude and
Hartland Pont is to place oneself in some of the most
magnificent scenery in Britain.

Lovely cottage - the play area at

tennis.Some lovely cliff walks at
Tintagel, Higher Sharp Nose Point and Hartland Point.
Enjoyed days out at the Eden Project,
Newquay Zoo and the Cornish Cider Farm.

This is our second holiday here and
we've had a great time again but it's gone too quickly. We've
done lots of different things, like Sandymouth beach, walking
from there to Northcott and back, and visiting Tamar Lakes at
Kilkhampton. We also had an exciting visit to Tintagel
when the Devon Air Ambulance had to be called and our boys got
to sit in it. We also saw a seal in the bay.
Hope to be back next year!

The cottage is lovely and very warm !
Our 3 year old daughter has loved staying here, riding her bike, swimming and playing in the play area.
We have had a hectic time
visiting Boscastle, Tintagel, Trethorne Farm, Atlantic

Padstow! Thank you for providing such
excellent accommodation, which has exceeded our expectations.

We've had a fantastic week. We took some great costal
walks along the cliff tops - just long enough for a
decent walk but having great cafes in the middle where
we all enjoyed ice-cream. (A bit of bribery as the boys
are only 4 and 5!). The pool was a fantastic bonus
- one we've used everyday. Harry is particularly proud
of the fact that he can now swim nearly a width with no
armbands. Thank you for helping to make our stay so
enjoyable and comfortable. The personal touches made us
feel very welcome

Lovely cosy place to stay during blustery Autumn.
Fantastic beach fun- great out of season. We paddled and Daisy (2½)
swam in Summerleaze, Crooklets and Sandymouth.
Thanks for the
lovely warm pool and floats - great fun, and changing area very
clean - happy to use them.
Thank you for the friendly touches
and helpful staff - makes all
the difference to a holiday.

We are so sad to leave this cottage
which has been our home (and far cleaner and better equipped than my
own) for two weeks now.
Last night my son suggested a game of 'sticky toffee' in the fields
beyond the garden and all of us, aunties, uncles, Granddad and
Nannie (extended family in cottage next door) spent the most
glorious hour winging our way in and out of the flower beds and
through the climbing frame until we were out of breath.
What a magical place this is.

better.
